Terms of use

ShareADesk is a listing and messaging site for people who want to share physical workspace in Australia — desks, rooms, studios and similar spaces. These terms govern your use of the site. They are not a lease, licence or rental contract between you and anyone else who lists or enquires.

The platform, not the deal

We publish listings and let members message each other. We are not a party to any arrangement you make off the site. We do not collect rent, take deposits, run bookings, or guarantee that a space is available, legal to share, or as described. You are responsible for the agreements you enter, including any obligations under a head lease, strata rules, or workplace health and safety.

Eligibility

You must be 18 or older and able to form a contract under Australian law. You sign in with Google. Keep your account under your control.

Listings

If you list a space you confirm that you are allowed to offer it, that the details and photos are accurate, and that you will unpublish or update the listing when it is no longer available. You can hide a listing without deleting it. We may unpublish or remove a listing that appears unlawful, misleading, or unsafe, without deleting your account.

Conduct

• Do not harass, threaten, or discriminate against other members.
• Do not post spam, scams, or content you do not have the right to use.
• Do not attempt to access another member’s account or data.
• Use Report on a listing or profile, or Block to hide someone’s messages, if you have a concern.

Messages

Messages are private between the participants. We may access them if we need to investigate a report, a legal request, or a safety issue. Blocking someone hides their threads from your inbox and stops new messages between you.

No fees on the site (for now)

ShareADesk does not process payments. If you pay or receive money for a space, that happens off-platform and is between you and the other person.

Liability

The site is provided as-is. To the extent Australian Consumer Law allows, we exclude liability for arrangements made between members, for listings that turn out to be inaccurate, and for downtime or lost messages. Nothing in these terms limits rights you cannot contract out of under the Australian Consumer Law.

Changes and contact

We may update these terms. Continued use after a change means you accept the new version. Privacy is explained in the privacy policy. For take-down or safety issues, report the listing or person in the app.
